The term "art forging" relates to the blacksmith's craft, to decorative treatment of iron at temperatures above 1000 °С.
Many centuries ago blacksmiths used to forge from iron and steel various weapons and armor, horse harness, household goods, and agricultural instruments. Later the decorative qualities of iron were revealed as well; and today art forging ranks high in modern arts and crafts.
Forged items appeal with their reliability and durability on the one hand, and elegance, ethereal lightness and a feeling of free space on the other hand. Nothing can emphasize the uniqueness of your house better than the stylish forged items in the interior: tables, chairs, beds, shelves, clothes racks, mirrors, ornamental flowerpots and so on. Forged items are used in exterior as well, while designing gardens and building facades: forged lanterns, grids, gates, bridge and staircase banisters, balcony rails, etc.
In our age of standardized mass production, art forging is one of the last surviving types of craft. Fantasy and mastery, ingenuity, perfect technological skills and knowledge of the specifics of metal make it possible to create valuable works of art in the boundless and highly expressive world of forged metal.
